Day 1: Your Journey Begins in Rome
Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Come the evening, be sure to visit the Trevi Fountain and throw in a coin or two. The architecture is quite spectacular when lit up at night. (Overnight in Rome)
Day 2: Rome
Today after breakfast, explore the heritage of ancient Rome with a fascinating Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. After the tour, take some time to explore more of this iconic city. (Overnight in Rome)
Day 3: Rome
Your Imperial Rome tour will take you to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Don't forget to have your photo taken with one of the slightly more modern gladiators outside! (Overnight in Rome)
Day 4: Rome to Florence
Travel by train directly to Florence and begin discovering the city on your own. Check out Giotto's Bell Tower, Baptistery of Saint John, or the Medici Chapels and Crypt. Alternatively, you can simply relax at your hotel or stroll around town with some delicious gelato. (Overnight in Florence)
Day 5: Florence
In the afternoon, experience the incredible Uffizi Gallery during your included tour. Take a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio (the oldest and most famous bridge over the Arno River), admire the spectacular Duomo Cathedral and be sure to enjoy some more fine Italian cuisine. (Overnight in Florence)
Day 6: Florence
Today is free for you to discover Florence on your own. Check out Piazzale Michelangelo for stunning views of the city. Visit Mercato Centrale for delicious cuisine. Stroll through the Galleria dell'Accademia or wander the Boboli Gardens. (Overnight in Florence)
Day 7: Florence to Milan
Board Trenitalia to fashionable Milan. Once you arrive, there are plenty of exciting things to see, do and experience on your own. We recommend visiting the Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, San Bernadino alle Ossa, or Parco Sempione. (Overnight in Milan)
Day 8: Milan
Embark on your Milan sightseeing city tour today from an open-top panoramic bus. With the option to hop-on and off any time you'd like, it's the perfect way to explore Milan! See the Duomo di Milano, Sforza Castle, San Siro Stadium, the Roman Amphitheater, Royal Palace, and so much more. (Overnight in Milan)
Day 9: Bernina Express to St. Moritz
This morning take the local train to Tirano, and it's here you board the legendary red carriages of the Bernina Express train bound for Switzerland. Enjoy the views as the train spirals its way around the magnificent Brusio viaduct, then you will be glued to the window in wonder at the changing landscape, as the train climbs up through the Poschiavo valley, into some of the highest snow-covered peaks in the Alps. The Bernina Line itself is a World Heritage Site and crosses the Bernina Pass at 2253m above sea level before arriving at lakeside St Moritz – home for the next two nights. (Overnight in St. Moritz)
Day 10: St. Moritz
Why not start your day with a leisurely morning walk around the shimmering Lake St. Moritz, followed by an exhilarating ride on the Corviglia Funicular for breathtaking alpine views? Cap off the day indulging in the town's luxurious spas or exploring its chic boutiques and enjoying fine dining with a backdrop of the stunning Engadin Valley. (Overnight in St. Moritz)
Day 11: St. Moritz to Grindewald
Board the panoramic carriages of the legendary Glacier Express train and travel through the Upper Engadine in St. Moritz and view the pristine Swiss Alps from the comfort of your seat. You'll ride the Albula route and cross over the famous Landwasser Viaduct, experice the Goms and the Rheinschlucht Gorge, and discover what it's like to travel onboard one of the most sought-after trains in the world. Day 12: Grindewald
Located in the heart of the Bernese Alps, Grindelwald is a postcard perfect destination. Many travelers visit this region to go hiking to the Kleine Scheidegg or experience world-class skiing, enjoy the cuisine and hospitality, or explore the surrounding mountain peaks. (Overnight in Grindelwald)
Day 13: Jungfraujoch Day Trip
Take advantage of your four-day Swiss Pass by boarding the Jungfraubahn cog railway to the summit of Jungfraujoch - the Top of Europe! Along the way, you'll pass through tunnels on the north face of the Eiger, make short stops at Eigerwand and Eismeer, and have plenty of time to take in views of the vast landscape. Once at the top, enjoy mountain views from Sphinx Terrace, check out the Alpine Sensation exhibition and Ice palace, and experience the Aletsch Glacier before adventuring back down. We suggest rerouting via Lauterbrunnen or heading down to Interlaken to make the most of your Swiss Pass. (Overnight in Grindelwald)
Day 14: Grindewald to Zurich
ravel by train from Grindelwald to Interlaken then Interlaken to Bern. We suggest spending a few hours in the Swiss capital of Bern exploring on your own. Simply leave your luggage in a station locker and utilize your Swiss Flexi Pass to get around. See the famous clock tower and take a stroll through Old Town. From Bern, take a direct train to Zurich for a one-night stay. (Overnight in Zurich)
Day 15: Your Journey Ends in Zurich
Check out of your hotel and continue with your onward travels.
