Travel Tips
Weather By Season
The Czech Republic has a typical European continental climate with warm, dry summers and cold winters. The weather is best during peak summer travel months with warm days and cool nights; however, it is still extremely pleasant from late spring into early fall. Autumn is typically a chilly and wet, and the Winters can be very cold, damp, and even snowy. Summer is historically dry although sometimes heavy thunderstorms can roll in, especially in the mountainous regions.
We recommend breathable, lightweight clothing during the hot summer months, with a sweater for cooler evenings and rain gear in case of showers. Waterproof, heavy layers are necessary for winter, especially if visiting the mountains.
