What's Included
Day 1: Your Journey Begins in Munich
Welcome to Munich! Head from the airport and check in to your hotel for a two-night stay. Perhaps take this opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of one of Munich’s famous beer halls and sample Weisswürste – the Bavarian white sausage delicacy!
Day 2: Munich
Today take a 2hr walking tour and visit some of the main landmarks of Munich, including the Glockenspiel, Frauenkirche Cathedral, and the Opera House with a local expert. Soak up the local life at the Viktualien market then relax in the beautiful English Garden and maybe even watch the river surfers on the Eisbach. This evening why not try some more beer sampling at the world’s most famous tavern - The Hofbräuhaus am Platz.
Day 3: Munich to Prague
Check out of your hotel this morning and catch a direct train to Prague, where you'll check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Prague is known as the ‘City of a Hundred Spires' because of the steeple-flecked skyline that enchants visitors. Explore your own sightseeing itinerary with a hop-on, hop-off bus tour, stopping in the Jewish Quarter and at Prague Castle, among other gems. You'll also be treated to a relaxing cruise down the Vltava River, the perfect way to see the city from a new vantage point
Day 4: Prague
Continue your sightseeing of Prague using your hop-on, hop-off ticket. Be sure to visit the old town Square and marvel at the world-famous astronomical clock as well as the Lesser Town, full of palaces, churches, and gardens.
Day 5: Prague to Vienna
Enjoy the comfort of a highspeed RailJet train from Prague to Vienna. After arrival into the modern Vienna station, check in to your hotel for a two-night stay. Relax in the afternoon by indulging in some Viennese coffee culture – some ‘Sacher torte’ is a must!
Day 6: Vienna
Following breakfast at your hotel, make your way to meet your private guide for a 2hr introductory walking tour. Enjoy a stroll through the historical city centre, from St Stephens cathedral to the Hofburg Palace. The tour will give you a great overview of the major sights in the UNESCO heritage listed centre of the city. In the afternoon whether it’s a tour of the Grand Schönbrunn Palace, a classical music themed walking tour, or a ride on the iconic Prater Park Ferris Wheel, just give us a call to discuss. The Austrian capital has a wonderful selection of restaurants for dinner, with the historic Figlmüller being one of the most traditional and city’s best.
Day 7: Vienna to Budapest
Check out of your hotel this morning and ride the rails to Budapest for a two-night stay. A stroll along the riverside is a lovely way to familiarize yourself with some of the main sights of this beautiful city, and the iconic Parliament building is a spectacular sight when lit up at night.
Day 8: Budapest
Explore the “City of Spas” with your included sightseeing pass today. Why not spend a relaxing day at the Szechenyi Baths, 15 indoor and three outdoor pools are kept at a constant warm temperature to enjoy year-round? Take in the views from the Szechenyi Chain Bridge or why not explore Budapest's fascinating underground caves or perhaps take the Funicular up to the top of Castle Hill for fantastic views of the River Danube and the city. After a busy day sightseeing, treat yourself to a local beer and some fine food in the Old Town.
Day 9: End of Tour
Enjoy the last breakfast of your holiday today before checking out of your hotel and making your way to the airport for your flight home
