What's Included on a Private Chauffeur Trip?
Day 1: Fáilte to Dublin
Welcome to Dublin! Upon arrival, you will be met by your private chauffeur and whisked away to your hotel. Once settled in this afternoon, you’ll be joined by a Local Specialist who will personally escort you to see the riches of Ireland’s capital city on your own private walking tour. Experience all the highlights and uncover hidden gems of this ancient, yet modern city, including a visit to Trinity College.
Day 2: Golf at Portmarnock and/or Explore all Things Dublin
Alternative sightseeing and activities can be arranged for non-golfers.
Day 3: Journey to County Cork & Golf at Castlemartyr
Visit Mount Congreve, an 18th-century Georgian estate and enjoy a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience during a guided, gentle stroll through the formal gardens. The Gardens comprise of around 70 acres of intensively planted woodland, a four-acre walled garden and 16 kilometres of walkways. Planted on a slight incline overlooking the River Suir, Mount Congreve’s entire collection consists of thousands of different trees, plants and shrubs. Journey to Castlemartyr, with its renowned golf course designed by Ron Kirby, whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as the Old Head and Mount Juliet, as well as Gleneagles in Scotland. In Castlemartyr, Mr. Kirby has developed an inland links style course that creates a visually pleasing yet challenging experience. The course is designed to be both bold and pleasurable for players of all skill levels. Relax this evening in the splendor of Castlemartyr and reward your active day by dining in the Michelin-star restaurant, Terre, where you are escorted on a culinary journey celebrating the brilliance of nature. Non-golfers can relax on the estate or try out the spa offering both traditional and alternative health treatments and a range of uplifting beauty treatments. Your chauffeur is available to help with arrangements.
Day 4: Journey to Killarney
Visit Blarney Castle, built 600 years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains. According to legend, kissing the Blarney Stone grants the gift of eloquence or “gab”. Journey on to Killarney, the town nestled on the lakes, celebrated for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere. and you’ll soon discover what the Irish call ‘craic’! Experience the magic of Killarney on a jaunt around the Lakes in a horse-drawn carriage guided by one of the unmissable jarveys.
Day 5: Ring of Kerry & Golf at Waterville Golf Club
Today play a round of golf at Waterville Golf Club, where the roots of structured golf can be traced back to 1889. Playing golf at Waterville is a mystical experience, with the splendor of classic links land surrounded by the sea, earning Waterville its rating among the top courses in Ireland. Non-golfers can soak up the specular land and seascapes that is the Ring of Kerry.
Day 6: Journey to Dromoland Castle & Golf at Ballybunion Golf Course
Golfers rise early and take to the green at Ballybunion Golf Course. Located on the Southwest coast of Ireland, Ballybunion's courses are highly regarded as two of the great championship courses in Ireland. Later on, arrive at Dromoland Castle Estate, the ancestral home of the O’Briens of Dromoland, whose lineage dates back a thousand years to Brian Boru, one of the last High Kings of Ireland. Every golfer dreams of playing at Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club, the impressive 18-hole championship course is set on the magnificent 450-acre estate. Combining gentle hills, ancient trees and unexpected water hazards, this course stands as one of the finest parkland courses in Ireland. Complemented by excellent practice facilities and a welcoming club house atmosphere, it provides a golf experience like no other. Tonight, dine like royalty in the Earl of Thomond Restaurant.
Day 7: Lahnich Golf Experience and the Cliffs of Moher
Early this morning, play Lahinch Golf Links, a mecca for keen golfers, providing two 18-hole links courses, the Castle Course, and the Old Course (Championship). Travel to the Cliffs of Moher, rising 700 feet above the pounding Atlantic waves and stretching to 8 kilometers. Remember, as on all days of the trip, non-golfers, are taken care off from pre-booked unique local experiences to memorable iconic sights, your private chauffeur is there to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Day 8: Depart Shannon
You will be transferred to Shannon Airport where your vacation ends.
