Day 1 - Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the beachfront hotel of your choice. Take advantage of your hotel’s ideal heart-of-it-all location to explore at your own pace… Rio’s finest beaches, shopping, dining and entertainment are just out your front door!
Day 2 - Out + About in Rio
On today’s comprehensive sightseeing tour, you’ll discover the best of the city as we take you to two of Rio’s most celebrated landmarks. Along the way, you’ll pass through some of Rio’s most famous districts and past spectacular beaches as our expert guide shares his extensive knowledge and offers fascinating insight into the city’s history and the modern vibrant spirit of its residents. Start at the Sambadrome where Brazil’s famed Samba schools compete during Carnival. Then tour the Metropolitan Cathedral; designed by Edgar Fonesca, its soaring angular silhouette was designed to evoke ancient Mayan pyramids. Inside, you’ll behold beautiful stained glass windows that soar more than 200 feet to the building’s apex. Next up, a thrilling 2-stage cable car takes you up Sugarloaf Mountain for amazing views over Rio and its dramatic backdrop of sea, mountain and sky. Then ascend Mt. Corcovado WHS to gaze in awe upon the 100-foot tall statue of Christ the Redeemer and to enjoy the 360º views over Rio. For lunch, savor traditional Brazilian barbecue at a local churrascaria. Day 3 - Rio de Janeiro at your leisure
