Additional Information

Day 1 (AUG 8, 2026): Dover (London), England

Departs at 5:00pm

Approaching the coast, ships are greeted by the ethereal White Cliffs of Dover. This iconic strip of milky-white land serves as England's welcoming beacon, its stark beauty becoming more apparent as you draw closer. The coastline unfurls like a grand tapestry, its white chalk cliffs streaked with black flint, rising majestically 350 feet straight from the sea's embrace.

The echoes of ancient times resonate from every corner of Dover. Archaeological treasures hint at the presence of human life during the Stone Age, painting a vivid picture of the region's rich history. However, it was the Romans who first recorded Dover's significance, drawn by its strategic location just 21 miles from the French mainland. Dover is home to remarkable Roman remnants, including the tallest Roman-built lighthouse still standing in Britain, as well as the only preserved Roman wall mural outside Italy.

Day 2 (AUG 9, 2026): Cowes, Isle of Wight, England

The Georgian harbor town of Cowes, situated on the Isle of Wight, has been the home of international yacht racing since 1815. It is famous for Cowes Week, the largest and longest-running sailing regatta on earth. The Isle of Whyte was once a favored retreat of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Osborne House still retains a large collection of their royal possessions, photography and art.

Day 3 (AUG 10, 2026): Fowey, Cornwall, UK

Cornwall is a visually stunning region, and Fowey is a worthy stepping stone, filled with medieval and Georgian buildings cheek-by-jowl. It is a picturesque old town on the banks of the Fowey estuary, on a shoreline designated the Polperro Heritage Coast. St. Finnbarr’s Church is new, rebuilt in the 15th century after a French raid destroyed the first one. The waterside watchtower is matched with another across the way in the hillside village of Polruan. It can be reached by ferry, starting from a building that was originally the summer of home of the Du Maurier family. The prodigious daughter Daphne Du Maurier lived and wrote here. In the distance, above Readymoney Cove, the ruins of St. Catherine’s Castle, built by Henry VIII, keep silent watch.

Day 4 (AUG 11, 2026): At Sea

Day 5 (AUG 12, 2026): Solar Eclipse (cruising only)

Day 6 (AUG 13, 2026): At Sea

Day 7 (AUG 14, 2026): Galway, Ireland

Born from a castle erected along the River Corrib in 1121, Galway has flourished into a vibrant city, rich with culture and tradition. At the heart of the city, you'll find two significant squares: Eyre Square and the Spanish Parade. John F. Kennedy Park graces the center of Eyre Square, a tribute to President Kennedy's historic visit in 1963. A lovingly carved bust of the president stands in this park, marking the exact spot where he delivered his speech, a testament to Galway's affection for the late president. Galway also houses one of the last great stone cathedrals constructed in Europe, the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven, built in 1965 in the Renaissance-style.

The Spanish Parade is home to the iconic Spanish Arches, two stone arches that were once part of the historic wall encircling Galway. Nestled between remnants of the medieval town walls, you'll discover charming shops offering handcrafted rings, books, and musical instruments. Galway is renowned for its traditional Irish pubs, but it's also known for its picturesque ancient neighborhoods, including The Claddagh and Salthill. These areas embody the spirit of Galway, with their cobblestone streets and quaint houses.

Day 8 (AUG 15, 2026): Killybegs, Donegal, Ireland

Known as Ireland's premier fishing port, Killybegs' maritime charm is picture-perfect against the lush Scottish landscape. Begin your visit by strolling along the harbour, where you can watch the comings and goings of the fishing fleet and breathe in the fresh sea air. The St. Mary's Church, a remarkable example of gothic revival architecture, stands proudly with its stunning stained glass windows, richly carved pulpit, and impressive spire. As you explore further, you'll discover the Killybegs Carpet Factory, once the world's largest hand-knotted loom. Today, it has been transformed into the Killybegs International Carpet Making & Fishing Centre, offering a fascinating insight into the town's proud heritage.

Day 9 (AUG 16, 2026): Oban, Scotland

Oban is a small town on the west coast of Scotland. The site began as a small fishing outpost and has been occupied as such for literally thousands of years. Rural in its roots, the modern-day village of Oban grew around the famed whisky distillery founded in 1794. Renowned for its 14-year-old malt whisky, the Oban distillery has become a tourist attraction, drawing many visitors to the area.

The quiet, rural feel of Oban is responsible for the abundance of wildlife within the town boundaries. Here grey seals can be spotted swimming in the harbor or resting along the shore. A wide variety of land and seabirds are found throughout the area. On occasion dolphins and river otters also visit. A beautiful balance exists between this small town and the natural environment surrounding it, where the sounds of nature mingle with the melody of the streets.

Day 10 (AUG 17, 2026): Ullapool, Scotland

The picturesque fishing town of Ullapool nestles on the shores of Loch Broom, in the Highlands. Its location is one of the more pristine natural environments in Britain. A diverse choice of walks in the area includes mountains, rocky coasts, through forests and into deep gorges. Dominating the landscape is the monolithic peak of 2,000’ (610 m) Stac Pollaidh. Nearby Corrieshalloch Gorge with its 150’ (46 m) Falls of Measach and the Inverpolly Nature Reserve allow you to experience the natural beauty of the Highlands. The geology of the area is highlighted by Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve and the fascinating Inchnadamph Bone Caves. Formed by water penetrating soft limestone, the caves contained 1,000 reindeer bones dating back as far as 47,000 years. Beside them were found the bones of four human beings, dating back 4,500 years.

Day 11 (AUG 18, 2026): At Sea

Day 12 (AUG 19, 2026): Torshavn, Faroe Islands

Day 13 (AUG 20, 2026): At Sea

Day 14 (AUG 21, 2026)L Heimaey, Westman Islands, Iceland

Heimaey Island is the largest in the Westman Islands located four miles off the south-west coast of Iceland. One of the most visually impressive islands in Iceland, it is ringed by tall, vertical sea cliffs many hundreds of feet high. Heimaey is also the home to over eight million Atlantic puffins, more nesting puffins than anywhere else on earth. A local story tells that puffin chicks, taking their first flights at night, often become stranded in the village streets, where the local children rescue them and set them free the next day.

In January of 1973 the island received the nickname, ‘Pompeii of the North’ when a volcanic eruption and lava flow destroyed half the town. This caused a crisis when the town’s only harbor was nearly blocked by advancing lava. Nowadays it is a lively place with a vibrant culture and over four thousand residents. Archaeological excavations suggest that people lived on Heimaey as early as the 10th Century

Day 15 (AUG 22, 2026): Reykjavik, Iceland

Arrives at 7:00am

Steeped in history and bursting with contemporary flair, Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, was founded around 870 C.E, marking the birth of the first permanent settlement on this island nation. Today, it is home to approximately 200,000 inhabitants, making up nearly 60% of Iceland's population. Reykjavík holds the title of the world's northernmost national capital, and it takes pride in its reputation as one of the cleanest, greenest, and safest cities globally. Its commitment to sustainability and eco-consciousness is evident in every corner, from its energy-efficient buildings to its pollution-free skies.
