Day 1: Perth

Welcome to cosmopolitan Perth. Roam around on your own exploring the city's top attractions and experiences. (Overnight in Perth)

Day 2: Perth

Explore the city with a relaxed morning tour, starting at the vast Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens. Take a stroll on the Tree Top Walkway for some great views of the Perth skyline and see the 750yr old Boab tree. Enjoy the scenery on the drive along Cottesloe beach to historic and cosmopolitan Freemantle where you can explore its cafes, shops, and beautifully restored old buildings. When ready, travel back to Perth via a Swan River Cruise and admire some of Perth's most exclusive suburbs along the way. (Overnight in Perth)

Day 3: Overnight Onboard Indian Pacific

Climb onboard the Indian Pacific for an amazing journey to Adelaide that won't soon be forgotten. Travel in ultimate comfort and style in your Gold Service twin cabin, which features all-inclusive meals in the discretely ornate Queen Adelaide Restaurant Car, access to the Outback Explorer Lounge, complimentary toiletries and bath towels, and still wine, beer and spirits on request all day long. This evening's excursion in Kalgoorlie will introduce you to Hannan's North tourist Mine where you'll enjoy a short play performed by local artists, see the Super Pit gold mine. Return to the Indian Pacific for a nightcap and your journey onwards through the night across the Nullarbor Plain. (Overnight onboard the train)

Day 4: Overnight Onboard Indian Pacific

At dawn, the Indian Pacific rolls into Rawlinna Station, where you'll get off the train for a hot breakfast and coffee on the platform. In the afternoon, explore the ghost town of Cook (population four). Back on the train, relax and recharge in your cabin before heading to the lounge or dining carriage. (Overnight onboard the train)

Day 5: Overnight Onboard Indian Pacific

The train pulls into Adelaide in the morning, you have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights. (Overnight onboard the train)

Day 6: Indian Pacific to Sydney

It's worth waking early to enjoy the views as the train passes through the Blue Mountains today, so you get a better understanding of why they are called Blue. The dense Eucalyptus forest often appears blue thanks to the magical light here mixing with any water vapour in the air, together with oils from the trees. It's a beautiful sight if you are lucky enough to catch it! On arrival into Sydney Central station, bid farewell to the train and your fellow passengers then head to your hotel for a three-night stay. In the evening venture down to Circular Quay, the heart of the city. (Overnight Sydney)

Day 7: Sydney

Make full use of your Sydney Explorer Pass today to discover the city's most popular attractions and landmarks, including the Tarango Zoo, Sydney Opera House, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Bondi coastal walking tour, and much more! If that's not enough, check out delicious cuisine at up and coming restaurants, do some shopping on Pitt Street, learn about Aboriginal culture and history, join locals for a barbecue, or check out the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art for free. See the Rocks neighbourhood, Chinatown, jump on a ferry to Watson's Bay, Manly, and world-famous Bondi Beach. (Overnight in Sydney)

Day 8: Day Trip to The Blue Mountains

Experience a full-day, all-inclusive tour of the magical, mysterious Blue Mountains. Visit Sydney Zoo on your way out of the city then learn all and traditional Aboriginal tools, artifacts and bush tucker, and the Bungarribee Dreaming Experience. Enjoy lunch in the charming village of Leura before a ride on the Scenic Skyway, Cableway, Walkway, and Railway at Scenic World. Take the 2.4km stroll on the elevated boardwalk through the Jurassic rainforest for the perfect vantage point of the incredible Three Sisters and Jamison Valley. The scenery truly is breath-taking, but when the time comes to head back to the city do so with a scenic cruise to Sydney Harbour along the Parramatta River. (Overnight in Sydney)

Day 9: End of Tour

Check out of your hotel and continue with your onward travels.
