Day 1: Sydney

Welcome to one of the world's most beautiful and exciting cities! Visitors are spoilt for a range of experiences and attractions to enjoy. A bustling city centre, amazing architecture, golden beaches, beautiful weather, and a world-famous harbour are just a few reasons to travel here. (Overnight in Sydney)

Day 2: Sydney

Use your included Sydney Explorer Pass to discover the city's most popular attractions and landmarks, including the Tarango Zoo, Sydney Opera House, the beautifully mysterious Blue Mountains, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Bondi coastal walking tour, and much more! (Overnight in Sydney)

Day 3: Sydney

Continue exploring on your own today. Check out delicious cuisine at up and coming restaurants, do some shopping on Pitt Street, learn about Aboriginal culture and history, join locals for a barbecue, or check out the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art for free. See the Rocks neighbourhood, Chinatown, the Gap in Watsons Bay, Darling Harbour, and world-famous Bondi Beach. (Overnight in Sydney)

Day 4: Sydney/The Blue Mountains

Experience a full-day, all-inclusive tour of the magical, mysterious Blue Mountains. Visit Sydney Zoo on your way out of the city then learn all and traditional Aboriginal tools, artefacts and bush tucker and the Bungarribee Dreaming Experience. Enjoy lunch in the charming village of Leura before a ride on the Scenic Skyway, Cableway, Walkway, and Railway at Scenic World. Take the 2.4km stroll on the elevated boardwalk through the Jurassic rainforest for the perfect vantage point of the incredible Three Sisters and Jamison Valley. the scenery truly is breath-taking, but when the time comes to head back to the city do so with a scenic cruise to Sydney Harbour along the Parramatta River. Day 5: The Indian Pacific

Depart Sydney in the afternoon and settle into the comfort of your Gold Class Cabin. Enjoy some great views of the Blue Mountains as the sun comes down, then perhaps enjoy meeting your fellow travelers over a glass of wine in the bar car, and at dinner. (Overnight onboard)

Day 6: Adelaide

In the morning enjoy a tour of Broken Hill, and old frontier mining town which has established itself as an artistic hub. After lunch back onboard the train you'll arrive into Adelaide and make your way to your hotel for a 3-night stay. (Overnight Adelaide)

Day 7: Adelaide

Welcome to the lively city of Adelaide. Your half day tour this morning will show you all the key sights in this beautiful city including the Botanic Gardens and iconic North Terrace. (Overnight in Adelaide)

Day 8: Kangaroo Island

This morning embark on a full day tour of Kangaroo Island via the 45min ferry crossing from Port Jervis. Visit Seal bay Conservation Park for a guided walk among the wild Sea Lions, then enjoy a 2-course lunch and visit to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. the afternoon is spent in the Flinders Chase National Park where you can see the fantastic regeneration of the native bush as well as the abundance of wildlife. Take a stroll around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before heading back to the mainland. (Overnight in Adelaide)

Day 9: The Ghan

Make your way to Parklands Station and climb about the world famous Ghan train, named in honour of the Afghan Camel Drivers who in the 18th Century helped to create access to the Red Centre of Australia. the track is one of the longest rail lines in the world at 2,979km in length and along the way you could catch a glimpse of Camels and wild Kangaroos. the onboard service in Gold Class is fantastic, with some of the best food and wine available on any public train in the world. Day 10: The Ghan

Hop off the train this morning for breakfast in the outback town of Marla, then continue north to Alice Springs. This remote yet well-known town is halfway between Adelaide and Darwin, and here you'll enjoy a fascinating tour discovering its history and well-preserved vintage buildings. (Overnight onboard)

Day 11: The Ghan

Between April and October passengers enjoy a fantastic show of Outback life and music at the Katherine Outback Experience. For the remainder of the day enjoy the vast open red landscape of Australia's remote Northern Territories from the comfort of your Gold Class cabin and the comfortable lounge bar prior to arriving into Darwin. Head to your hotel and check in for a three-night stay then head out for some dinner. (Overnight Darwin)

Day 12: Darwin

This morning travel along the Arnhem Highway into the Kakadu National Park. the park covers 20,000sq Km of land from rocky escarpment home to historic Aboriginal rock art dating back thousands of years, to floodplains abundant with wildlife. Visit the Warradjan Cultural centre to better understand and appreciate the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu, then join a local guide on a cruise of the Yellow Water Billabong. Keep an eye out for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful array of birdlife for which the area is famed. Following lunch make a stop at Nourlangie for a walk to view ancient rock art, there is also that once in a lifetime experience of an amazing 50min scenic flight across the park (own expense) (Overnight in Darwin)

Day 13: Darwin

Discover all Australia's only tropical capital city has to offer today with this great day tour. Learn the rich history of the city with visits to the Darwin Aviation Museum, Museum of the Northern Territory and its rich and diverse Botanical Gardens. In the afternoon head down the Stuart Highway to the Adelaide River - the home to over 1600 crocodiles! Cruise the river and get as close as comfortably possible to the crocs as they launch themselves out of the water. Enjoy a great view across the Marraki Plains before visiting the Fogg Dam Nature Reserve to see a wetland ecosystem up close, then head back to Darwin to enjoy your evening. (Overnight in Darwin)

Day 14: End of Tour

Check out of your hotel and continue with your onward travels.
